Measurement

We can measure the various elements of the works from the architect’s drawings and provide bills of quantities used for tender submissions. If you are a trade contractor, we can aid variation pricing. This includes measures and appropriate risk allowances for incomplete design.

Post-Contract Services.

Construction Contract Advice

We are able to provide accurate and detailed advice on all types of construction contracts, from JCT to bespoke forms. We make even the most complex matters easy to understand, ensuring you are aware of the risks and responsibilities inherent in each form.

We can administer these contracts, ensuring all notices are served as and when required. This includes payment notices, delay notices, extensions of time and suspending or terminating contracts. Allow us to assist in contractual claim matters if necessary. For example, we can help you accurately assess or prepare & defend extensions of time / prolongation claims, loss and expense and the like.

Cost Control and Cost Reporting

Staying within budget is key, and we are here to make sure that happens. Most projects have variations which incur additional costs. Provided these are properly forecasted and controlled when they do occur, the budget can be maintained. We measure and report movements against the cost report / budget on a regular basis. We are experienced in dealing with variations, extension of time, and loss & expense claims to all degrees of complexity.

Cashflow Forecasting

“Cash is king” and so many businesses fail on this aspect alone, regardless of whether the business is actually profitable. We want to help you reduce the risk of running out of money as much as possible. We produce cash flow forecasts to aid in your projections for obtaining finances etc. Let us help you by continually monitoring actual cash in and out against those projections throughout the life of the project.

Monthly Valuations

For contractors and developers alike, we measure the progress of the works on site and value the work executed. We can produce and assess applications for payment, agree between the various parties what is a fair and reasonable sum for the works, produce payment notices and process payments in accordance with contractual provisions.

Final account settlement

We understand that the last thing you want is for disagreements to occur throughout the project without resolution. It is often tempting to kick these issues down the road making it impossible to come to an agreement at the end of the works. We always manage the account with the finish line in mind. This ensures controversial issues are resolved swiftly and fairly.
